I feel compelled to thank you for helping us with our move from London to the Dordogne. The logistics involved in transporting the contents of a 3 bedroomed house plus a small car appeared daunting to us but the whole operation was completed without any problems whatsoever. I am more than happy to recommend your services. It was certainly good value for money. The removal firms I had received quotes from were 4 or 5 times the price of your service and it even worked out cheaper than hiring a van and doing it ourselves, as we would have had to make 2 or even 3 trips. Your driver was friendly and helpful and arrived exactly on time, both for collection in the UK and arrival in France. The service provided by The Road Ahead was very good. It was a difficult move since we were moving furniture to Switzerland which is not part of the EU and hence the paperwork was more complex. Nonetheless, Road Ahead assisted with contacts for customs clearance in the UK and in Switzerland, a process I didn’t really know much about. Also, although the driver is not supposed to help he was very friendly and did help to load and unload which was a great help. On arriving in Switzerland, it had snowed a lot and the truck had difficulties ascending the mountain to my home. It persevered and eventually got there, with snow chains, to my relief. I would recommend the service to anyone and it was certainly value for money. My best regards

well what can I say!! first of all a very big "THANKYOU" to you and Chris. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend The Road Ahead for a move to France or anywhere else. Chris arrived on time and was very helpful with the loading which all went smoothly under his direction. In France Chris once again on time and very skilfully drove his lorry into our driveway to make it an easy unload in less than three hours. The full lorry load of nine tons which included Victorian all glass display cabinet, white goods, furniture and all my heavy workshop tools arrived intact and with no breakages, in fact when we opened the lorry side curtain the load looked just as we loaded it two days earlier!!. Our Very Best Wishes
