Give Removal Companies a Break!

If you’re in search of a removal company, there are things you should consider. You’ll want to know they have a good reputation, and they also have some great experience behind them. It’s also important to know they have done removals in the area you’re moving to before.

If, for instance, you intend to move from the UK to somewhere in Europe, it’s important your chosen removal company knows how to go about doing this. Aside from all of this, price is also important to the average person, and I have something to say about this.

I have moved many times throughout my life, and I consider myself to be a bit of an aficionado when it comes to finding a decent removal company. I’m happy to say, I’m one of the lucky few that have never had a major problem with any of the moves I’ve done, and the companies I’ve used did exactly what they said they would.

However, I didn’t go into the whole thing thinking “cheapest is best”. There are tons of reasons for this, but the main one is the level of service you receive. These days, there are a variety of ways you can go about finding a company to help with your move, and one such way that’s becoming very popular is to post your requirements on the internet.

This is the point at which I intend to start a little rant, and I am on the side of all those people who work so hard to keep their customers happy and their belongings safe. These professionals spend their days loading, and unloading vans, driving to said destination (which can sometimes take days depending on where they have to go), and unloading when they arrive.

My friends, this is a TOUGH job! I’ve seen what it’s like on the other side of the fence, and making a profit in the removals industry is not easy. What I would like to remind everyone, is that when you start to “haggle” with a company who has placed a quote on your removal through the internet, is to think about the costs involved.

The vans have to be maintained, and filled with fuel which isn’t cheap. Ferries have to be booked and paid for, which also isn’t cheap, and there are loads of other overheads associated with running a company like this.

The message here is THINK before you HAGGLE!
