Definition of an Online Market Place

Everyone knows the term “auction” site, and this is possibly down to the infamous company by the name of eBay. If you’ve ever used this website you will know that as a customer, you place a bid on the item you want, and then you have to wait and see if you win said item. Auctions tend to last up to 10 days, and there is always a last minute “scrabble” to win that beloved piece of jewellery you want to buy as a gift for a loved one.

However, there are websites that term themselves as an Online Market Place. The biggest difference between how these sites work and how an auction site works is there is no time limit on how long you’re allowed to place a bid. This means there’s no last minute panic to get your bids in so you can win that all important removal job.

I personally believe that using an Online Market Place is a much better way of gaining more business for your removal company. It acts in much the same way as it would if you were quoting a customer that calls your office. You take all the details such as size of load, what needs moving and the dates the customer requires. You then go away and work out a price.

It really is that simple, there’s no need to hastily work out a price because the “auction” is due to end any minute now, you can take your time to put forward a professional quote over the internet just like you would with a potential customer who contacts you in the traditional way.
