Advice on Moving to a New Country

Being an English ex-pat myself, I thought it would be prudent for me to pass on some advice on what you should do if you are moving to a new country. Since leaving the UK, I have lived Uruguay, South America, France and I have now been happily living in Spain for the last 3 years. Just so you all know I have done all of this travelling with my 2 wonderful cats and they are still going at age 17!

The first thing I will say, is do your homework on the country you have chosen to live in; if you don’t then you could end up in all sorts of trouble, especially if you have bought a home there. Moving from the UK to anywhere in Europe is much easier than it used to be because of the European Union, however, if you are moving to a country outside of the European Union, make sure that you are well versed on the way of life.

Another thing that you should make sure of is that you use a reputable removal company in order to get your belongings, pets and or vehicles to your chosen destination. For many, moving to another country is a VERY stressful business and if you use a removal company that does not help to make things go smoothly it will only have you reaching for the blood pressure pills! I only wish I had known about The RoadAhead when I was travelling from the UK to Europe; I would have used the website without hesitation. You can find out more about how The RoadAhead works by following this link it’s completely free to sign up and you will find a removal company that is professional and friendly at a great price.
