Being an English ex-pat myself, I thought it would be prudent for me to pass on some advice on what you should do if you are moving to a new country. Since leaving the UK, I have lived Uruguay, South America, France and I have now been happily living in Spain for the last 3 years. Just so you all know I have done all of this travelling with my 2 wonderful cats and they are still going at age 17!
The first thing I will say, is do your homework on the country you have chosen to live in; if you don’t then you could end up in all sorts of trouble, especially if you have bought a home there. Moving from the UK to anywhere in Europe is much easier than it used to be because of the European Union, however, if you are moving to a country outside of the European Union, make sure that you are well versed on the way of life.
Another thing that you should make sure of is that you use a reputable removal company in order to get your belongings, pets and or vehicles to your chosen destination. For many, moving to another country is a VERY stressful business and if you use a removal company that does not help to make things go smoothly it will only have you reaching for the blood pressure pills! I only wish I had known about The RoadAhead when I was travelling from the UK to Europe; I would have used the website without hesitation. You can find out more about how The RoadAhead works by following this link http://www.theroadahead.co.uk/getaquote.aspx it’s completely free to sign up and you will find a removal company that is professional and friendly at a great price.
